Google Improves Contact Search in Gmail
We reported earlier this week that you can now merge your contacts in Gmail. The same has been announced officially on the Gmail blog.
Besides merging contacts, Suggested Contacts has been removed and this has been replaced by All Contacts.
This all is part of the plan of pushing Google Sync, which lets your synchronize your contacts with mobile phones. So, besides the two features, you can now remove contacts from the My Contacts list to ensure that these do not get synchronized with your mobile.
The last feature added is the ability to search through not just the contacts name and email addresses, but also all details. This means you can now search through phone numbers, notes fields, mailing addresses etc.
So, what’s next? You can suggest what you would like to see.
