This FAQ states that in the near future you may use your very own domain with your WordPress.com blog.
This will come as a nominal yearly cost. This seems good news to me because I want to use my new domain http://www.ajaydsouza.net with this blog. As of now it is just redirected here.
So, I may actually take advantage of this if it is within reasonable limits.
But that will also mean a loss to my current pagerank.
But, would you as a WordPress.com user take this step?
only if it’s possible to install plugins, templates etc. online
I really doubt they will provide that functionality, unless it comes with a price.
The FAQ clearly says that users won’t be able to install plugins, but can only suggest them.
While I’ve had a web page of one kind or another for about 10 years, I’ve been too cheap to ever get a domain name.
Still am.
C:
Well Yahoo! is selling domains for just $2.99, worth taking if that isn’t too cheap 😉
How can one use pagerank with wordpress.com?
You don’t need to \”use\” it. Google automatically decides the pagerank.
I can’t wait till I can take this step.
