A while back I discontinued my self hosted Personal Album. It had become too much of a pain to maintain and I just gave up on it. I’m currently pondering on what option to take.
Gmail is now Open To All
For as long as Gmail has existed, it has been an invite only, which meant that you couldn’t get an account unless you managed to find some kind soul to invite you for one. During the early days invites were rare and you could even find them for sale on eBay. I remember getting my invite from some forum with the condition I had to give back, which I did.
Google Accidentally Sends Out Kama Sutra Worm
PC World reports that staffers at Google accidentally sent out e-mail containing a mass mailing worm to about 50,000 members of an e-mail discussion list focused on its Google Video Blog. The worm called W32/Kapser.A@mm is better known as the Kama Sutra worm.
