Goals for 2009

The first half of 2008 was a dead period for the blog. With me tied up with MBA activities, I simply didn’t have time and the blog got neglected.

I decided to work on reviving the blog and post August has seen a steady flow of posts. However, in spite of two years of running, Techtites is still nowhere I envisioned it to be.

So, better late than never, I’ve decided to set some goals for 2009.

1. Average at least 1000 subscribers

When I started the year I had about 200 subscribers to the feed. However, after moving the feed from Feedburner to Feedproxy, the number dropped to around 100. So, I’m talking of a huge jump! Have you subscribed yet?

2. Make at least one long detailed post a week

Currently, I try to make a detailed post. However, this is rather irregular. And, I need suggestions. What would you like to see on this blog in 2009?

3. Find at least two other writers for this blog

This is a rather important goal that I have in mind. I’m already in talks and I hope to see a writer join us soon. Interested?

4. Increase Ad Revenue from this blog

This blog currently contributes a tiny portion of my tiny income. I’ve recently started offering 125×125 banner ads in the sidebar. Purchase yours now.

5. Increase the number of visitors via Delicious, Digg, StumbleUpon and other social bookmarking sites

We receive a good amount of traffic from StumbleUpon. However, the number of visitors from them as well as Digg and other similar sites is far too little. I hope to write good quality content to ensure that we get more visitors.

6. Increase pageviews to at least 5000 a day

This is a huge jump, considering we average about 250-300 pageviews daily. Good, consistent content is the secret for this. And, that is what I plan on.

These are six goals that I have set for 2009. I hope to achieve them all. And I am open to suggestions? Got something to tell me? Comment below.

What are your goals?
