FeedDemon + Google Reader = Bye Bye other feed readers

I’m sure most of you have heard of it already, but FeedDemon now includes synchronization for Google Reader as well as the already existing Newsgator, which has been a part of it ever since the beginning. I’ve been using FeedDemon for several years now and the best part of it is the complete synchronization it has with Newsgator. I’ve been running the beta versions and it’s turning out better with time.

Facebook Connect now on your iPhone

Facebook is the most popular social media website for people to connect with their friends and family members. Previously they unveiled an extention for Facebook platform which makes it easy for you to bring your friends with you all over the Web. Recently they have expanded the same concept  to iPhone and iPod touch by offering “Facebook Connect for the iPhone”.

Now Check your Hotmail / Windows Live Mail Offline

When, I reviewed Postbox a few weeks back, they still hadn’t added support Windows Live Mail / Hotmail. However, in their b8 and subsequently b9 release, one-click integration with Windows Live Mail was added. However, even then, Hotmail required you pay for POP3 access.

Conversations – Now on Google Reader

Google Reader isn’t really my favorite feed reader since I prefer Feed Demon for this purpose. However, I know a lot of users who swear by Google Reader mainly because it is online and accessible from anywhere. Last year Google Reader added the ability to share feeds and added a sharing bookmarklet to make this task even easier.

Windows Vista SP2 RC now available

Service Pack 2 Release Candidate for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 are now available for download to TechNet and MSDN subscribers to test prior to final release. SP2 for Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 include updates that have been delivered since the release of SP1, as well as support for new types of hardware and emerging standards. SP2 weighs in at a sizable 302MB for x86 systems and 508MB for 64-bit operating system versions of Windows Vista.

Google Improves Contact Search in Gmail

We reported earlier this week that you can now merge your contacts in Gmail. The same has been announced officially on the Gmail blog. Besides merging contacts, Suggested Contacts has been removed and this has been replaced by All Contacts.
