One thing that all of us depend on in Firefox is the ability to install extensions that make the browser more userfriendly. After careful choosing, I tried to restrict the number of addons I use to sixteen. If I uninstall Firefox, or if I have to install it on another computer, my job begins fresh of reinstalling all these addons.

Tool Tuesday: IE NetRenderer

If you’re on a Mac or you have already upgraded to Internet Explorer 7, then you’ll be pretty lost about how your site looks like on lower versions of Internet Explorer. For me this is a big problem because half my visitors to my several sites are still using IE6 and you have to admit that IE6 is a pathetic browser. IE7 is a lot more compliant and displays sites a lot correctly than its predecessors.

Beware: IE and Firefox can help steal your password!

Just when we were settling into the so called more secure versions of the two most popular browsers, Robert Chapin has stated that both Internet Explorer 7 and Firefox 2 are vulnerable to what he dubbed as a reverse cross-site request, or RCSR. An exploit for this flaw has already been seen on social-networking site MySpace.com when Netcraft discovered a fraudulent login page was hosted on MySpace servers.
