For as long as Gmail has existed, it has been an invite only, which meant that you couldn’t get an account unless you managed to find some kind soul to invite you for one. During the early days invites were rare and you could even find them for sale on eBay. I remember getting my invite from some forum with the condition I had to give back, which I did.
The What’s New page on Gmail lists a new feature being offered by Gmail. Get mail from other accounts Now Gmail can check for the mail you receive at your other email accounts. You can retrieve your mail (new and old) from up to five other email accounts and have them all in Gmail.
While I was checking my Gmail today I came across a new button. Earlier, these options were place under the title of “Show Details”. These have all been moved under the Reply button as you can see above.
PC World reports that staffers at Google accidentally sent out e-mail containing a mass mailing worm to about 50,000 members of an e-mail discussion list focused on its Google Video Blog. The worm called W32/[email protected] is better known as the Kama Sutra worm.
