WordPress 2.8.1 and the Plugin Competition
WordPress 2.8.1 has been released today. WordPress 2.8.1 fixes several bugs and also a minor security risk that was reported by Core Security Technologies.
Changes in WordPress 2.8.1 over 2.8:
Certain themes were calling get_categories() in such a way that it would fail in 2.8. 2.8.1 works around this so these themes won’t have to change.

Got the "App"titude Challenge?
Google and Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi have got together to organize a unique competition.
Titled "Got the "App"titude Challenge?", it requires a team from your college to implement Google Apps as your mail server.

WordPress Wednesday: WordPress Plugin Competition
Mark announced the new WordPress plugin competition. The past plugin competitions have been highly successful which have helped benefit the WordPress community with excellent offerings. I'm sure this years will be the same if not better. The plugin competition will begin on the 10th of May and will last till the 10th of July.
