Using FeedBlitz or any third party service requires your visitors to move away from your site when they are subscribing or using that service.

Google’s Custom Search Engine as well as Adsense for Search ensured that visitors stayed on your site by embedding custom forms on pages of your site.

Now, FeedBlitz has introduced Embedded Subscription Forms. For this you need to login to FeedBlitz and navigate to Newsletters > Forms > Subscription Forms.

You need to create a page on your site with the code in Step 1 of the screenshot above and upload the same on the site. Step 2 requires you to enter the url of this page.

Copy the code in Step 3 and paste this anywhere on your site. This code is for the form in which the user will enter his email address.

Now, whenever the user submits this form he gets redirected to the url you entered in Step 2. Are you using FeedBlitz? What is your experience on the same? Will you be using the embedded form on your site?

The Flickr team has updated the recent activity page of your Flickr account. You can now sort the activity based on activity on your photos, replies to your comments or just messages. If you’re looking to quickly and easily find updates to your drivers and software then RadarSync is one software that does the job rather efficiently.

Double click on the shortcut on your desktop to launch RadarSync.

After RadarSync finds updates, it displays them and gives you various options. You can view details about the individual drivers or choose to download them all at once.

RadarSync also allows you to create packs. Packs allow you to save all your software into a pack and then if you format your computer, you can redownload all the software in one shot.

The free version of RadarSync displays advertisements. You can choose to purchase the paid version to remove the ads.

The past month the old feed has been redirected to ensure that you continue to remain subscribed.

However, if you haven’t yet updated your feed reader then now is the time to do so.

You can subscribe to our RSS feed using http://techtites.com/feed/. Remember, subscribing to this url will ensure that you are always subscribed to us irrespective of what changes we make to this site.

If you’re bored of the plain old white Gmail background, then one option is to use the Better Gmail Firefox extension which added a few themes.

Gmail now comes with several different skins that you can use to beautify your inbox. In a quote from their blog post:

We wanted to go beyond simple color customization, so out of the 30 odd themes we’re launching today, there’s a shiny theme with chrome styling, another one that turns your inbox into a retro notepad, nature themes that change scenery over time, weather driven themes that can rain on your mailbox, and fun characters to keep you in good company. There’s even an old school ascii theme (Terminal) which was the result of a bet between two engineers.

To customize your inbox, go to the Themes tab under Settings. If you do not see this option is because it still hasn’t been enabled for you. The same is being rolled out over the next couple of days.

Will you be using any of the themes above? I’m going to test the loading speeds before I decide to do pick a theme. On a slower connection, Gmail is still quite a pain. The themes will just add to the loading time.

My favourite feed reader FeedDemon is now sporting a brand new 2.8 Beta 2.

I have been using FeedDemon for nearly two years now and never looked back. Infact, I even started using NewsGator Go! for my Nokia N73 to read feeds when on the move.

Few Changes in 2.8?

• Items can now be tagged and these tags are synchronized with your NewsGator Account
• New “Share Icon” on the newspaper allows you to quickly add items to your shared clippings
• FeedDemon by default only synchronizes New items thereby reducing the bandwidth used and speeding up the update process
• Toolbar cleaned up. You can easily add your own custom buttons

Overall, the RSS reader is improving. Each version adds more features to make feed reading a breeze, especially when you have 100+ feeds.

Firefox 3.0.4 has been released and comes with several fixes:

When you are working on your computer and installing a new program, the installation suddenly fails. Now you are left with a partly installed program.

You try to install the program again, but you are unsuccessful. Or, maybe you have problems trying to remove an old program because the installation files are corrupted.
