How to Clear Out Firefox Cache with One Click
Firefox offers its users wonderful browsing speed and unparalleled stability. These are the reasons why the browser has gained countless loyal users who refuse to migrate to other internet browsers.
Regarding the safeguard of our privacy, Firefox offers us the feature to clear out our cache each time we exit Firefox.

By setting our options in this manner we need to exit Firefox each time we want to clear out our cache. An alternative method is longer and requires accessing our options, choosing which attributes we want cleared, and then clearing them.

But thanks to third-party developers who scrutinize such issues, pay special attention to them, and work out their solutions mostly in the form of Firefox add-ons.
The solution to the cache problem comes from a developer named vmslo in the form of a Firefox add-on titled Empty Cache Button.
Empty Cache Button is a tiny Firefox add-on that lets us empty our entire Firefox cache without the need to exit Firefox and without interrupting our browsing i.e. we do not even steer way from our currently opened webpage.
After installing the add-on, right-click on the topmost Firefox toolbar and click on customize.

The resultant window will have some buttons. The last button will be of Empty Cache Button.

Drag the last button to anywhere in the Firefox toolbars.

Now whenever you click on this icon, all your Firefox cache will be cleared and you will receive a confirmation message in the bottom right of your screen.

Empty Cache Button is a great tool to have to immediately wipe out our browsing history from Firefox’s records; until Firefox incorporates such a convenient cache-clearing solution in itself, this add-on is must-have for all Firefox users.

Get Fast Access To All Google Services In FireFox
Ever since I migrated from Firefox to Chrome, I have been missing the wider array of add-ons offered by Firefox. However I loved the Chrome extensions that merged other Google services with the browser. Chrome extensions like Handy Chrome Shortcuts provided easy access to nearly all Google services with a simple click.
But Firefox was not to be outdone in the arena of add-ons related to Google. Now there is a new Google-related add-on for Firefox which is giving me another reason to shift my default browser back to Firefox. The add-on is called Google Shortcuts.
The Google Shortcuts Firefox add-on was created by the developer Soeren Rinne. He writes that the idea occurred to him while writing his Bachelor’s thesis. As he started to use an increasing number of Google’s services, he thought it would be more convenient to place shortcuts right on the browser. The result was this great add-on.
Let me show you all how the add-on affects the Firefox interface. Here is a view of my Firefox’s address bar before the installation of Google Shortcuts:

And here is a view of the address bar after installing Google Shortcuts:

I am sure you notice all the extra buttons which Google Shortcuts placed there. These clickable icons correspond to each Google service. We can select which services to show or hide by modifying the preferences of Google Shortcuts.

Apart from the services we choose, we can also adjust a handsome number of interface options to suit our taste.

If you are a Firefox user taking advantage of even a single Google service, the Google Shortcuts add-on can help you greatly. Try it out and use the comments to let me know what you think.

How to Personalize Firefox With Custom Themes
Customizing our internet browser with themes is yet another way to give our computers a personal touch. Two browsers I use most of the time, Firefox and Chrome, both come with their own support for great themes. But recently I came across an add-on for Firefox which let me quickly change from on theme to the next as well as create my own themes. This is add-on is named AnyColor.

AnyColor is an add-on that changes the look of your Firefox browser. You can easily change the appearance of your browser with just a few clicks. There are many themes you can choose from and it is very easy to customize them or create your own.
After the add-on is installed you will prompted to restart Firefox after which you will be able to view AnyColor’s startpage.

On this startpage you can choose a color scheme from the pane on the left. You can even choose to enable certain tweaks by checking the boxes in the left. A button lets you add the add-on’s toolbar to Firefox to quickly shift between themes.
The toolbar is located in the Main Menu bar and can be accessed to view the available options.

We can access the add-on’s options from here to customize an existing theme or start building an entirely new theme with a new color scheme and a custom background image.

I know I have tried a pretty ugly looking color scheme here but this is just to give you an idea of how you can create your own custom themes by simply playing with the colors.

Having tried out this extension, I found that it integrated into Firefox seamlessly and will be of great use to anybody wanting to be able to customize Firefox better. Try it out and drop off your thoughts in the comments.

Maximize games in FireFox with Flash Game Maximizer
If you’re addicted to Farmville, Roller Coaster Kingdom or Cafe World, then you’ll love this FireFox addon.
Flash Game Maximizer will allow you to maximize (almost) any Flash content to the entire browser window as the click of a button.
The addon also recognises F12 as the key to maximise the flash content.
The Flash content is then reloaded in the full browser window, causing it to resize along with the window (with or without enforced aspect, or scaled to one of the predefined percentages). This allow you to play your favorite Flash games, or view other Flash content, in whatever size you like, even including the Firefox full-screen mode, where you can enjoy your Flash game with that “real-game” feeling that can only be achieved by dedicating 100% of your screen to the action.
