Search for attachments in Gmail by size

Gmail Search by size

Gmail’s advanced search feature is extremely powerful. I usually use this for for searching for emails from recipients or with certain labels. Today, Gmail rolled out a new feature on searching through your emails. This feature allows you to search for attachments of a particular size and from a particular period. This means, for example, to find emails larger than 5MB, you can search for size:5m or larger:5m or to find emails sent over a year ago, older_than:1y. Do you find the feature useful. For me searching for attachments would be much less used. But, I would most likely be…

I bought the Nexus 7 (32Gb) last week when Google released the new model. At £299, it is perfectly priced and you receive a powerful tablet power by Google and Android. This is my first Android based devices and I spent a good portion of my weekend exploring the tablet and the Play store. I’ve been hunting for a good Mail app and I present below some of the popular apps that allow you to check mail on your Nexus 7 or just about any other Android device including smart phones or tablets. Gmail This is the default app that…

Improve your productivity with Gmail’s new compose experience

Gmail new compose feature

Composing emails in a desktop client like Thunderbird or Postbox allows you switch back and forth between windows easily. Look up your other emails for reference or just let the Compose window sit in the background while you check new mail. By contrast most web-based clients don’t give you this flexibility and Gmail hopes to remedy that with the new compose feature. The new compose pops up in a window. It works the same way as chats allowing you to write multiple messages at once and minimise a message to finish it later or browse through your email which sits…

On my Windows machine, I use FeedDemon to browse my RSS feeds saved in Google Reader. In Mountain Lion, Apple got rid of their RSS reader support in Safari. It has a good interface that allows you to read your feeds with absolutely no client. However, if you’re looking for more power and ease of use, then the following free apps for Mac can making reading feeds a breeze! iReader This is a simple news reader for your Mac….

Gmail App

Your iPod and iPad comes inbuilt with Apple’s mail program which allows you to configure your email accounts including Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. However, if you’re an exclusive Gmail user or is your main email account, like many people I know, you might want to consider the official Gmail app from Google. The latest version of the app includes: Notification Center support with Banners, alerts and lock screen notification options “Send-as”: Alternate sender support, if configured within Gmail Persistent logins so that you don’t need to keep logging in at very frequent intervals For those who have Gmail as their…

WordStream has an infographic that takes a detailed look at Facebook Ads network and Google Adwords and Adsense as it stands today. Google is a clear winner currently. Have you had success with either Adwords or Facebook Ads? © WordStream, provider of a Google Keyword Tool for Search Engine Marketing
