WordPress 2.7 – Blog your way!

After a long wait and few betas and an RC, WordPress 2.7 is now available for download.

The release has been labeled Coltrane after the late jazz musician John Coltrane.

The main features that 2.7 brings is the completely new dashboard. Customize what you want to see and where you want to see it. The dashboard gives you a bird's eye view of everything in your blog (just as it should have been earlier)

Comment editing and replying has been made extremely easy and you no longer need an external plugin to reply from within your dashboard.

On the user front, support for paged and threaded comments has been added. WordPress theme developers can take advantage of the easy to use comment API to enable this feature on blogs.
