While Ajay is enjoying his tour of Goa, Google has silent began testing a new interface for their regular search site. Nothing official yet, but you test drive the new design by pasting this javascript code into your browser’s address bar:

javascript:document.cookie= “PREF=ID=fddb01133a87d314:LD=en:CR=2:TM=1177334998:LM=1177334998:GM=1:S=OOg0FEVzpPplxe9J; path=/; domain=.google.com”void(0);

The new design includes an all new navigation menu which takes you through various Google service. Below the regular search box, they’ve implement smart links which appear only when you search for specific queries. For instance, if you search for ‘Python’ or ‘C++’, it’ll show links to Google Code. Similarly, if you search for Bush, you’ll notice many links to images, news, groups, music and videos.

I personally welcome the new design to be implemented on the main site, as I’m quite bored of the old one. Has anybody tried Stylish to turn Google black?

Sidenote: This guest post is published by Thilak, one among the countless fans of Ajay. I’m a fulltime bloggers and an internet consultant as well. I write about Tech News and Web 2.0 on TechBuzz, I also spend some time writing about Blogging and Blog Tools on BlogTalks. You may say that the above post clashes with my own blog. I say “Who cares? TechTites also covers Tech News”. Have fun Ajay, I’ll always owe you something.
