Fun Friday: Neave Games

Paul Neave has eight games for your gaming pleasure.

In Space Invaders you have to shoot at little invaders and you gain points that way.

N-Blox is a game similar to Tetris. Here you have colored blocks of different shapes. The more blocks you can place into a horizontal line simultaneously, the more you score.

Asteroids is a simple game with a simple objective. Break the asteroids before they break you. You have to shoot at them and burst them apart while trying to avoid being hit.

Snake needs no introduction. It’s on every single cellphone, right from simple black and white versions to highend 3D versions. This one’s a the simple color version.

I like Simon. It is a memory game. You need to remember which button of the four has been pressed. It is actually an increasing sequence. First one button, then two, then three and so on. It’s a good test to facilitate memory and get you’re brain working.

Tic-Tac-Toe, X and Zero, Noughts and Crosses are games that we have played right from our young days. Here you can play against the computer or with a friend sitting next to you.

Hexxagon is a game I’ve seen in many forms. You play with the red coin and try to take over the board. You take a single jump to duplicate your piece and a double jump to skip a square. You’re aim is to land your piece next to the other color and any of the adjacent color squares are automatically converted to red. Tough one when playing against the computer.

The last game in the series is Frogger. This is one you must have seen in many forms. Here you have to get little Frogger from one side of the road to the other, while trying to avoid incoming cars and snakes.
