Techtites Daily: Tip Thursday

Feedburner’s recent Headline Animator Update shows that they place good importance in this as a marketing tool for your blog. I don’t see why not.

The headline animator is a convenient and easy way to advertise your site.

The headline animator is a simple GIF image that rotates the latest posts from your RSS feed. This means you can feature the animator on just about any site, forum or blog which allows you to display this image.

It is highly recommended that you add this animator along with a link to your blog to the signature of all forums that you are a member of (subject to if they let you do that).

On heavier forums, other visitors will have direct visibility to your blog. If they find a post headline of their interest they can click and visit your blog.

As of now you have two options of displaying the headlines. You can design your own headline animator or use an exisiting theme. I recommend using themes only if you are not familiar with creating images.
If you are the best way to ensure individuality is to create an attractive graphic which will tempt users to click and visit your site.

I’ve created only a simple graphic, but it ensures that my headline sticks out.

Another recommendation I have is to ensure that your headline animator image is not a regular advertisement dimension e.g. 468×60, because such images are quickly blocked out by most ad blockers.

Ohh… and before I forget you can get the headline animator after logging into your account and clicking on your feed then navigating to Publicize >
