Hotmail to be 1GB
Inboxes of Hotmail users will now be upgraded to 1GB of space. This will be done irrespective of the market and account age, i.e. factors that used to be considered earlier while upgrading accounts.
Currently Hotmail offers 250MB only in the 50 United States, District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico. Eligible Hotmail users will first receive 25MB at sign-up and are later upgraded to 250MB.
Users of Windows Live Mail, which is currently in beta stage already receive 2GB space, so this upgrade will not effect them in any way.
If you want to switch to the new beta (which I highly recommend) you can go to Windows Live Ideas and sign up.
