burrp!

If you are like me, i.e. you love to eat, then Burrp! is a place you must check out.
Burrp! is aimed at the foodie in you.

Burrp currently covers Mumbai and Bangalore with plans for Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Pune and Goa.

So what is it?
burrp! is an online platform where you can search and review local businesses, such as restaurants, bars, nightlife, juice centres, paan shops, bakeries, etc. All reviews on burrp! are written by regular users like you and me, hence expect accurate personal experiences.

I have followed the evolution of burrp right from its pre-launch period, having been a beta user. And I will admit that even in the early days burrp! held a lot of promise.

I just signed up once again today. You can track my reviews from my profile.

The site is extremely well designed and easy to use, though my one complaint is the category structure out there, which is really needed.

Browsing on burrp! is mainly using tags (read web two o). You also have a big search box at the top to find things. Like I mentioned earlier, this is one place they really need to work with.

There desperately needs to be better organization of the tags, a single page listing the popular ones is needed.

I was curious about one factor out there and that was integration of the various sub-burrps (if that is a term). Was pleased to find that the user accounts are well integrated with both Mumbai and Bangalore, which means that you don’t need to signup. However, you do need to sign-in seperately. This needs to be done away with. A single sign-in needs to be implemented.

Writing reviews is also easy. Once you find the place you want to review, you can start writing a review. As of now you only have the option to rate the site and write the review. It would nice to see various parameters by which you can rate the site besides an overall rating. Would also like to have two sumary fields for Pros and Cons.

In conclusion, if you are in Mumbai and Bangalore then burrp! is definitely a good place to read reviews and find out what other users out there think about the place you plan on visiting.
