Google Launches Patent Search
Google today launched Patent Search for US Patents.
Google Patent Search uses much of the same technology that powers Google Book Search, so you can scroll through pages and zoom in on text and illustrations, with plans to add saving and printing features in the near future.
Patent Search already includes seven million patents granted by United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). They haven’t yet mentioned if there are plans to include international patents as well.
Will Microsoft and Yahoo! follow suit? Or will they just not bother.
