Starting December, Verizon Wireless will deliver selected video clips from YouTube to cell phones, reports Reuters.
This is in a bid to increase subscriptions to its mobile media service.
YouTube, was bought by Google Inc. this month. Financial terms of the deal were not revealed.
Currently, the number of users with video support on their cellphones is still a minority.
While YouTube and Google both hope to gain with this deal, I’m a bit skeptical about how successful will Verizon’s efforts for this be. Me for one would prefer to view the video on my computer as opposed to my cellphone (and I got an N73). Then again, everyone isn’t me!
