Netscape.com has a threaded comment system, via which you can communicate with other members about stories, and a messaging system, via which you can send messages to your friends on Netscape.
In addition to that they will be adding a new feature viz. Netscape Chat.
A static chatroom will be added to Netscape where you can chat with other users about the Top Story on Netscape.com
The chat feature is supported by Userplane, which was recently acquired by AOL, the folks behind Netscape.
This is a feature that isn’t present on similar sites. It just goes to show how keen Netscape is on gathering more users.
As you can see Netscape lags behind Digg according to Alexa based on traffic of the last one year.
So, will this new features bring new users?
